POSITION PURPOSE
The position is responsible for providing essential support for various WFYI fundraising initiatives, including underwriting and other development revenue initiatives. Working closely with the development team, the position helps optimize WFYI’s member and sponsor experiences through coordinating cultivation events, managing donor communications, providing database support, and assisting with a wide spectrum of membership and sponsor activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This role is responsible for providing administrative support for WFYI’s donor and sponsor cultivation efforts. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Developing and maintaining

Donor communications, member services and customer support initiatives such as preparing gift acknowledgments, generating monthly thank you letters, tracking communications and providing prompt responses to donor questions and requests and coordinating mailings for added, lapsed, or renewing members
-
Impact and stewardship materials
-
WFYI’s case for support
-
Quarterly impact stories to use for cultivation and engagement of donors and sponsors
-
Reviewing membership and sponsor content online and in the media kit, keeping language, content, data and design up to date
-
New materials across multi-media platforms that communicate the value of WFYI program outcomes, community benefits, and the value to donors and sponsors
-
Standardized reporting
-
Maintaining accurate donor records in databases
-
Coordinating the planning and execution of donor and sponsor cultivation events, and fundraising campaigns and solicitations
-
Coordinating volunteer support for donor or sponsorship projects
-
Coordinating sponsor digital inventory, sponsor package fulfilments and providing post-event proof of performance requirements
-
Supporting marketing initiatives, including coordinating requests for marketing assets and assisting marketing with related fulfillment
-
Collaborating with interdepartmental teams to coordinate schedules, materials, and production for membership drives and member testimonials

Perform all other duties as assigned

WFYI’s team members, including this position, share essential functions and responsibilities based on available staffing, workload, expertise, and organizational needs. Proposed solutions and process improvements are to be reviewed and approved in partnership with management prior to implementation.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience unless otherwise noted below.
Required:

Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, development or similar/related field

1-3 years of experience in nonprofit, development or related field
-
And/or equivalent experience or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully perform the essential job functions of this position
